Hello, my name is Rebecca.

I'm an avid home cook with no real training, whatsoever. The kitchen is just about the only place where I like taking risks - trying new recipes, adapting a meal to accommodate allergies and preferences, or attempting to recreate a flavor or experience from a restaurant or recent travel. Living in New York City, there's no lack of inspiration.

As you might have guessed, I also love a good word play, especially a food-related turn of phrase.  

I've always believed that anyone can cook, just so long as they have a recipe to follow. OK, fine, fun kitchen tools do help. And ingredients. I guess you need ingredients, too. I hope this blog inspires you to take a chance in the kitchen, you might surprise yourself.
